more tibook brilliance: why not just have two keys...
apparently it was easier to just make the left-alt and right-alt buttons (and right and left shifts) send the exact same keycode. I’m sure it saved Apple about 10 cents per machine, but it’s made me hate the absolutely ridiculous mac keyboard layout even more. Look, if the key only does one thing, just put ONE of them on there — you could’ve had ONE alt, and ONE shift...
installing debian ppc on a tibook 500.
Pretty straightforward. Gets audio AND the airport card right off the bat. Heck, it gets the airport during the INSTALL boot.
To dual boot:
1. Install OSX first. Use the Disk Utility from the drop-down in the top menu to partition the disk. For some reason, my Tiger installer is stupid about doing partitions — it would only allow me to do them in even parts (and also leaves a tiny...
Sensible comment handling.
UPDATE: you also need to overide theme_comment_folded to provide paging — otherwise when you try to click through to a folded comment that is not in the first page, it sends you to the wrong listing.
